ROSETTA

Brand design for a fashion / jewelry brand inspired after decryptation and writing systems. The concept originates from an anthropologic study about the loss of sentimental bond with objects, and the birth of consummerist society. I’m strongly attached to this project such as because it has been my final project for the master degree, but also, since it takes life after a personal need: to project a perfect gift for a friend. The jewel created was my marriage gift for my best friend and her fianceé, and it has been designed to fit their needs and become their wedding band. The brand design is part of a larger project that involves jewels design and goldsmithry, and that has been presented as final project for my master degree. Brand and web have been designed for a following commercialization of the project.






Rosetta jewels combine together all the main colours of the precious metal, such as gold, rose gold, silver and burnished silver. I decided to use this as inspirating characteristic, and to present the logo with 4 colours palette. Since the project also takes life from decrypting and writing system, I decided to modify the logotype and associate each render type with only one color, marked by the tiny spot under the O, which the only letter that always remain the same. The logotype also associates with the only emblem of referring colour.























The main packaging to contain the ring is realized by a ream of paper, binded as a book and pierced in the center. Every page, contains the code to read the message hidden in the ring. The “mini-book“ is contained in a golden or silver pluriball bag, closed by a ribbon, or through the adhesive tape that recates the logo. The last page contains also a QR code that links directly to the informations about the donor, and the message hidden in the jewel.
